Group Project Responsible for the design of all the parts in Solidworks. Responsible for the dynamic and kinematic analysis of the back grid structure.
Goal
The goal was to create our own mechanical product. The entire project should consist of the brainstorming, mechanical design, ergonomics, kinematic-dynamic analysis, drawings, business plan and the end-product design analysis.
Why?
We chose the three-wheel off-road wheelchair, in order to raise the disabled’s limits “off the side walk”.
Specifications
Two hand levers, based on the bicycle functioning principle, provide the ability of overcoming obstacles and off-road areas by using the driving torque to increase or decrease the thrust of the wheel chair.
Maximum user weight:120kg / Wheelchair weight: 24 kg
The project has been selected among 100 others, to be showed to the first-year students every year as an example and inspiration of how to approach a mechanical design project.
