Hey all, my name is Alexandros Nikolaou and in this page I briefly try to give you an idea of my background.
My profession could best be described as a AI & Robotics Engineer (Software and Desgin).
I own a joint degree MSc in Autonomous Systems (TU Berlin and KTH) and a Diploma (5 years - Master's integrated) in Mechanical Engineering (National Technical University of Athens).
I currently reside in Berlin.
My main interests lie in applying my engineering knowledge - mainly in the field of AI & robotics (C++, Python, Tensorflow, ROS 1&2, Gazebo, Webots...) and mechanical design (CAD) - for providing solutions falling under the environmental and social spectrum.
I am particularly specialized in developing autonomous mobile robots, and robotic arm manipulations through ROS, while also excelling on any other software-related task.
My engineering solutions awarded me some innovation distinctions (that can be found below), whereas my diverse volunteering work, not only allowed me to work harmoniously with, or lead a team, but also secured me a recognition by the UN as one of the 100 young climate leaders in 2019.
Being an inquisitive mind, I received scholarships and funding to develop some of my ideas, and explore my business development side, allowing me to identify the struggles towards developing a financially viable and technologically feasible product/service.
My main goal is to leave my footprint in the smart systems sector, facilitating the humans' wellbeing as well as reducing the negative environmental impact.
